Fresh off his likely win in the first presidential primary, White House hopeful Bernie Sanders is taking his upstart campaign uptown for a meeting Wednesday with the Rev. Al Sharpton, according to reports.
The Vermont senator will break bread with the civil rights activist and talk show host at Sylvia’s, the Lenox Avenue soul food mecca.
According to the Washington Post, the breakfast meeting was scheduled at Sanders’ request, as he tries to reach out to black voters with his sights set on South Carolina.
