Facebook comment about activist's suicide gets Ohio police officer placed on leaveFAIRBORN, Ohio — A police officer has been placed on paid administrative leave because of a comment on Facebook about the suicide of a Black Lives Matter activist this week in Columbus. An investigation is under way to see if officer Lee Cyr violated the Fairborn Police Department's social media policy, according to the Dayton Daily News. A comment attributed to Cyr was posted on a thread on the Facebook page for Ohio Politics. The thread was on the suicide of MarShawn McCarrell, 23, of Franklin Township, who took his own life in front of the Ohio Statehouse on Monday evening.
