Senate committee signs off on bill protecting guns from bankruptcy sale CHEYENNE – The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 5-0 Friday to recommend approval of a bill that, if passed, would allow people to keep up to three firearms and 1,000 rounds of ammunition in the event they are subject to a bankruptcy or similar debt settlement. Under current Wyoming law, the only goods exempted from such settlements are basic essentials like clothing and tools that are essential to earning a living. Senate Vice President Drew Perkins, R-Casper, said given the importance guns hold for many Wyoming households, it makes sense to exempt them as well. But the bill did not skate through Judiciary untouched. www.wyomingnews.com/news/new-senate-committee-signs-off-on-bill-protecting-guns-from/article_c39ba1ca-d1e4-11e5-88ca-7f67d332830c.html
