Fraternity brothers plead to lesser charges in fatal alcohol overdose of UNL freshman Three fraternity brothers facing felony charges for providing the alcohol that killed University of Nebraska-Lincoln freshman Clayton Real in 2014 pleaded to lesser offenses on Wednesday. Thomas Trueblood, 20, Ross Reynolds, 23, and Cory Foland, 23, each pleaded no contest to misdemeanor alcohol procurement charges. In fall 2014, Lancaster County prosecutors charged four of the five men believed to be involved with procuring alcohol for a minor leading to Real's death, an offense punishable by up to five years in prison. The fifth, William J. Miller, was charged with a misdemeanor. Real, 18, died on Sept. 5, 2014, in his room at FarmHouse, 3601 Apple St., where a fellow fraternity member found him unresponsive, UNL police said.
