Among Legislature's priority measures: Restoring Nebraska's winner-take-all electoral college methodLINCOLN — Ahead of the November election, state lawmakers are taking yet another stab at restoring Nebraska to a winner-take-all method of awarding its electoral college votes for president. The proposal is one of more than 100 priority measures that will consume the second half of the 60-day legislative session — and guarantee plenty of discussion and dispute. Without a priority designation, a controversial bill has little chance of being debated from this point forward. Monday was the halfway point of the session, which ends April 20. Speaker of the Legislature Galen Hadley said he aims to get through all of the priorities but noted that a number of them have yet to advance out of committee.
