Gov. Charlie Baker says he plans to bring Wynn Resorts
execs and Somerville Mayor
Joseph A. Curtatone together with his own environmental chief to sort out the Everett casino impasse after the developers indefinitely postponed construction and froze hiring on the $1.7 billion gaming palace. “We’re going to see if we can get all the parties involved, probably through the DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) and see if we can’t get this resolved so this can get back on track,” Baker told the Herald last night. The governor’s comments came in the wake of yesterday’s hardball press conference by Wynn Resorts and several construction unions
