CLEVELAND, Ohio -- New Day for America, the super political action committee promoting John Kasich's presidential bid, has launched a substantial air and ground game in the Ohio governor's home state ahead of a critical March 15 primary. A seven-figure advertising buy began Thursday, said Connie Wehrkamp, a spokeswoman for the organization. It includes a 30-second spot meant to dismiss Kasich's remaining Republican rivals as all-talk and Kasich as a problem-solver. The ad also encourages Ohio voters to share their governor with the nation. "Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, scream," says a narrator. "One guy's done more than talk: Kasich. He'll do for America what he's done for us. Create jobs -- 400,000 jobs here in Ohio. ... Let's loan him. John Kasich." Kasich is popular in the Buckeye State. A recent poll by Quinnipiac University measured his job-approval rating at 62 percent. But that same survey found Kasich trailing Donald Trump, 31 percent to 26 percent, among likely GOP primary voters.
