The state Senate has passed a bill to protect victims of non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images, sometimes referred to as "revenge porn." Senate Democratic Leader Jeff Woodburn, D-Dalton, said the bill was suggested to him by a number of constituents, including one who described a personal experience. The legislation would close a loophole exploited by “high-tech peeping toms,” Woodburn said. Sen. Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry, speaking for the Senate Judiciary Committee, said the legislation is aimed at a person who has malicious intent. The Senate passed it on a voice vote.
