Gov. Charlie Baker is expected to sign into law a bill to curb the state’s deadly opioid epidemic after lawmakers gave it unanimous support. The bill passed in the Senate with a 37-0 vote yesterday — a day after clearing the House 153-0. “Gov. Baker thanks the Legislature for passing landmark legislation to address the opioid and heroin epidemic and is pleased that the bill
limits prescriptions and
requires continuing education for students and doctors,” Baker spokeswoman Lizzy Guyton said in a statement. The governor, who is in Utah on vacation this week, is expected to sign the bill when he gets
