NCGOP Central Committee votes ‘no confidence’ in chairman Harnett The North Carolina Republican Party’s Central Committee has passed a resolution of no confidence in the state party chairman, Hasan Harnett, the party announced late Sunday. The committee also censured Harnett for certain actions and put emergency restrictions on his duties, “pending a full review of charges of gross inefficiency by the NCGOP Executive Committee,” it said in a news release. In addition, Harnett posted Monday morning on his Facebook page that his party email account had been disabled again. Harnett was elected the state party’s first African-American chairman last June with the support of party activists, defeating the establishment choice, Gastonia lawyer Craig Collins, who was backed by Gov.
