CONCORD — Police and town officials would lose their discretion in determining who could hold a concealed weapons permit, under a bill the Senate approved Thursday. Senate Bill 336 would remove the phase “suitable person,” which allows local officials discretion in who is granted a license. Instead the bill would grant a license to anyone except those who are forbidden by federal or state law from having a weapon. However, law enforcement organizations opposed the change saying it takes away all discretion. See more at: www.unionleader.com/NH-Senate-moves-to-expand-concealed-carry-licenses
