COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Three members of Texas A&M University's Corps of Cadets have been arrested on illegal dumping charges after a dead dog with a coat hanger around its neck was left on campus. A university police report says the dog, found dead March 7 on Joe T. Haney Drill Field, was propped up on some firewood and wore an Aggie baseball cap. Someone who noticed two people putting the body on the field reported the incident. The three students were charged Wednesday with misdemeanor illegal dumping and each freed on $3,000 bond. Conviction on the Class B misdemeanor carries a penalty of up to six months in jail and a $2,000 fine. Corps of Cadets officials declined comment. www.statesman.com/ap/ap/texas/3-members-of-texas-am-corps-of-cadets-charged-over/nq2DF/
