The attorney representing a Decatur High School teacher charged with having sex with two students is challenging the constitutionality of the law. “The law is too broad and unconstitutional,” Huntsville attorney Robert Tuten said about a 2010 statue under which his client, Carrie Cabri Witt, is charged with two counts of a school employee engaging in a sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student. Tuten filed papers in Morgan County District Court this week asking that the charges against his client be dismissed.
