State orders 4 Arbour mental health facilities to correct 'urgent' safety violationsState mental health investigators have ordered four psychiatric facilities owned by Arbour Health System in Pembroke, Quincy, Westwood and Jamaica Plain to take immediate steps to correct “urgent patient care and life safety violations.” The Department of Mental Health said Friday it could halt new patient admissions unless violations discovered during surprise inspections over the past several weeks are remedied. The latest inspections were carried out Thursday. The agency has been meeting with senior officials at the facilities -- Pembroke Hospital, Westwood Lodge, Arbour Hospital in Jamaica Plain and The Quincy Center -- to review corrective plans submitted Thursday. Progress has been reported in repairs, organization and cleaning of some areas that were identified as needing improvement. www.patriotledger.com/news/20160409/state-orders-4-arbour-mental-health-facilities-to-correct-urgent-safety-violations
