Is Gov. Chris Christie losing his mojo in Trenton? It's starting to look that way, as the stalemate on the rescue of Atlantic City drags on. In 2011, Christie got his way on nearly everything by winning strict obedience from Republicans, and drawing enough conservative Democrats to get a majority. That was the coalition on pension reform, tax caps, the works. Not this time. And maybe never again. At about noon today, a state Assembly committee voted unanimously to support a competing rescue plan, in effect rejecting the governor's own plan. Republicans and Democrats held hands, and none of them showed any sign of giving a damn what the governor thought.
