Kentucky Lt. Gov. says colleges should focus on jobs-producing programs RICHMOND, Ky. -- Kentucky's lieutenant governor has told a campus newspaper that colleges and students should focus on programs that produce jobs. "I would not be studying history," Lt. Gov. Jenean Hampton said in an article posted on the Eastern Kentucky University newspaper's website on Thursday. The Eastern Progress, the student newspaper, also reported that Hampton called higher education a "privilege" and "not a right," The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/1VdW1xU ) reported.
