Sid Miller’s communications chief resigns, citing ‘lack of communication’Lucy Nashed, the communications director for Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, said Monday she is resigning. The move comes in the wake of a Houston Chronicle report on Miller using state funds to compete in a rodeo in Mississippi. The story said Miller later repaid the state. The paper previously first reported a trip Miller took to Oklahoma, for which he billed taxpayers $1,120, where he might have received a medical treatment known as a “Jesus shot.” Miller’s office has said that he took the trip to conduct official business on behalf of the Texas Department of Agriculture. Nashed, who worked for former Gov.
