Muskogee couple sentenced to life in prison for sexual abuse of child family members
MUSKOGEE — A Muskogee couple convicted of sexually abusing and exploiting two juvenile family members over the course of several months were each sentenced to life in prison Monday.
William Thomas Franklin Dugan, 30, and Valerie Ojo, 33, were charged in March 2015 with four counts of child sexual abuse and a count of child sexual exploitation, according to court records.
The two were accused of performing sex acts on two girls — who were 4 and 6 at the time — and forcing the children to perform sex acts on each other as the couple photographed them, according to court documents. The abuse occurred between Jan. 17 and March 21, 2015.
The two were found guilty by a jury in February and were both sentenced to serve life in prison Monday, Muskogee Police Officer Lincoln Anderson confirmed in a news release.
