Former dentist accused of potentially exposing patients to HIV, hepatitis, now charged with Medicaid fraudA former Tulsa dentist who surrendered his license after he was accused of exposing thousands of patients to bloodborne pathogens such as HIV and hepatitis was charged Monday with money laundering in connection with his previous practice. The charge alleges Dr. W. Scott Harrington acquired more than $10,000 through Medicaid fraud. Specifically, federal prosecutors allege Harrington received $15,295.85 from Medicaid for “fraudulent billing for services” purported to have been rendered between Jan. 11 and June 5, 2012. The documents also point to a $15,000 check written from one of Harrington’s bank accounts to W.S.
