Requirement strippers be at least 21 in Louisiana sails through SenateLegislation that would bar anyone younger than 21 from exotic dancing in Louisiana strip clubs won overwhelming support in the state Senate on Monday. It now heads to the House for consideration but has been winning broad bipartisan support so far at the Capitol, despite some push back from club owners and dancers. Sen. Ronnie Johns, R-Lake Charles, argued that the bill is meant to combat human trafficking. He said young women who dance in strip clubs are more susceptible to falling prey to human traffickers. “It’s strictly an anti-human trafficking bill,” he said.
