The Alabama Senate Thursday afternoon approved a $6.3 billion education budget that provides funding for a teacher pay raise and more funds for various services. The 2017 Education Trust Fund budget, the largest since 2008, passed 32 to 1. The House of Representatives passed the budget last month.
