Dairy Queen to reportedly open around 200 stores in Northern Californiaairy Queen Blizzards will soon be a common sight around the San Francisco Bay Area. According to the San Francisco Business Times, the company owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway is planning a massive expansion into California, wherein it will attempt to set up around 400 franchises across the state. As of now, there are only about about a dozen stores in the Bay Area. While as of yet, there are no figures as to how many more storefronts might be headed into the city and Oakland. Nevertheless, the company is aggressively optimistic. Targeting areas where there "are a high number of families and things like sports activities and churches," Dairy Queen is already looking into real estate options for stores. Each new franchise would bring job opportunities to 50-100 people, and the organization hopes to begin opening locations by 2017. www.sfgate.com/business/article/Dairy-Queen-to-reportedly-open-around-200-stores-7246810.php
