CHEYENNE – Republican U.S. House of Representatives candidate Liz Cheney has outraised all of her opponents so far, with donors including bankers, those with ties to the fossil fuel industry, former political figures, and others inside and outside of Wyoming. Including self-contributions, Cheney recorded more than six times the contributions of the next-highest House candidate, state Rep. Tim Stubson, R-Casper, who has raised $125,140, including $60,000 he loaned to his campaign. Cheney’s campaign has not received money from political action committees, and she has given her own campaign $26,910, according to a report she filed Friday evening with the Federal Election Commission. The report covered the time period of Jan. 1 through March 31. More than 90 percent of monetary donations to Cheney have been amounts of $200 or more. According to the report, $697,733 has been donated in amounts of $200 or greater, while $35,224 has been donated in amounts less than $200.
