State proposing uniform procedures and fees for public records CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Department of Administration and Information has released a proposed schedule of fees and procedures that all state agencies are to follow when fulfilling public records requests. A public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for 3 p.m. May 12 in Room B-63 of the Herschler Building. The proposed fees cover both non-electronic and electronic documents. The Department of Administration and Information was directed to create the uniform fee schedule by a 2014 change in state law. However, some public transparency advocates are concerned that the rules would allow agencies to charge for inspection of electronic documents, which would contradict state law.
