Miami University suspends 2 fraternities on hazing, alcohol violationsOXFORD, Ohio — Two fraternities at Miami University were suspended Tuesday because of violations involving alcohol and hazing, reports say. Phi Kappa Tau was suspended for three years, effective immediately, according to wlwt.com. Pi Kappa Phi has had all activities suspended until January. Phi Kappa Tau forced pledges to go through abusive workouts, were forced to stay overnight against their will, acted as servants by cleaning fraternity members' rooms, and also had to write papers for them, cincinnati.com reports.
