UPDATE 7:57 PM THURSDAY: Sen. Ted Cruz wrapped up his remarks and ceded the microphone to Indiana Sen. Dan Coats.
In a nod to the state's own battle over the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, Cruz said Indiana Republicans should vote for him "if you care about religious liberty."
He also promised a new generation of GOP leaders "who stand and fight for the Constitution," as well as Judeo-Christian values.
