Alabama lawmakers spend money to save money, but not on Medicaid
I know it's only April, but can we make an Ebenezer Scrooge joke here about reducing the surplus population?
"There's no free lunch."
That's what state Sen. Trip Pittman said this week, explaining why Alabama won't be fully funding Medicaid.
Because, you know, this is just about people wanting free stuff, right?
"These impacts have to be felt," Pittman said.
