MONTPELIER >> A Vermont lawmaker wants the Legislature to demand that Gov. Peter Shumlin release emails possibly related to the EB-5 immigrant investor scandal. Rep. Chris Pearson, a Burlington Progressive, says he plans to offer a resolution to call on the Democratic governor to release emails to and from high-level staffers and the two developers at the center of the controversy. It's expected that amendments could be offered on the resolution when it comes up for debate in the House on Friday. The Shumlin administration so far has resisted releasing the emails, saying they're connected with pending litigation.
