Senate passes college financial aid bill for undocumented immigrantsHARTFORD — The state Senate on Wednesday approved legislation that would give some undocumented immigrant students access to financial aid if they attend in-state public universities. The bill, which passed on a 21-13 party-line vote, would apply to students who live in Connecticut, have attended an in-state high school for at least two years, and who attest that they are seeking citizenship or plan to do so. The bill now awaits action in the House. Senate President Pro Tem Martin M.
