CHEYENNE — Wyoming’s marijuana laws will again be in the spotlight during a legislative committee meeting Wednesday in Rock Springs. Members of the Legislature’s Joint Judiciary Interim Committee will consider the future of a bill to regulate marijuana edibles after such an effort failed in the last legislative session. Lawmakers will also discuss the release of a final report from the Governor’s Marijuana Impact Assessment Council, which is expected to detail marijuana’s effects on Wyoming, including if the state were to hypothetically legalize some form of the plant. Sen. Leland Christensen, R-Alta and one of the co-chairmen of the committee, said he feels the state still needs to address marijuana edibles in light of court cases that have questioned whether Wyoming’s marijuana laws apply to edibles.
