South Dakota DOT awards more than $8M in bridge improvement grants
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Transportation Commission has awarded 19 bridge improvement grants totaling more than $8 million.
The grant funding includes 14 bridge preservation projects totaling nearly $4.1 million and five bridge replacement projects totaling just above $4 million.
Receiving preservation grants are Beadle County, Brookings County, Davison County, Fall River County, Hughes County, Meade County, Rapid City and Tripp County.
Aberdeen, Marshall County, Moody County, Roberts County and the city of Yankton are receiving bridge replacement grants.
