MONTPELIER — From marijuana legalization and independent contractor rules to privacy and ethics, lawmakers will have their hands full during what is expected to be the final week of the legislative session. The four-month session is expected to come to a conclusion Friday, but before lawmakers adjourn for the year they will have a host of issues to tackle, including a proposed $5.5 billion budget. The appropriation bill, along with the capital bill and the transportation bill, are the three pieces of legislation that must pass before the end of the session, said Senate President Pro Tem John Campbell. “They are all going to conference and we will be done with those by the end of the week,” Campbell said of the three bills.
