TRENTON — Members of a second rail union have rejected a tentative agreement with NJ Transit. NJ.com reports that UTU Local 60, which represents conductors, voted Saturday to reject the offer that averted a March 13 strike. Union officials didn't comment on the vote. The New Jersey Transit Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen Friday announced its decision not to ratify a new contract in a statement posted on its website. NJ Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder says both ratification votes failed by narrow margins. She says the transit agency is disappointed by the rejections, but is "heartened" that 14 other unions ratified their contracts.
