When Gregory Quick answered the door to his apartment Monday morning, he was anticipating inspectors dropping by to check his home's smoke detectors, gas lit stoves, his windows. But when he opened the door to the loud calls of "maintenance" and "inspection," he was greeted by a city inspector — and the mayor of Annapolis. "Hello, come on in," Quick said, with a laugh. "Please come in and take a look. Only thing that might need some help is the ceiling." Quick was among a number of Morris H. Blum public housing residents who received city inspections Monday. The inspections were the result of a mandate by Mayor Mike Pantelides, who called for the inspections in November and gave the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis several months to prepare.
