S.C. AG Wilson tells civic group he will discuss feud with solicitor at ‘appropriate time’COLUMBIA — S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson said he is eager to present evidence showing he has not impeded a solicitor’s investigation into possible Statehouse corruption. But he said it was inappropriate to discuss any details before the S.C. Supreme Court rules on a petition filed by 1st Circuit Solicitor David Pascoe alleging the attorney general and his office had tampered with the investigation. “We filed our pleading to the Supreme Court, and when the Supreme Court rules, I’ll be happy to answer any questions that you have about it,” Wilson said during a question-and-answer session after speaking at the Columbia Sertoma Club. “I think that’s the appropriate time to do it.” The Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments in the matter, but a hearing date has not been set.
