Unable to support his party's presumptive presidential nominee, Republican Sen. Ben Sasse is suggesting that Americans draft an alternative candidate to oppose both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in November. Sasse, who has long made it clear he could not support Trump if he is the Republican nominee, said America needs "a caretaker problem-solver for this messy moment," a candidate who would pledge to serve for only one term. But, Sasse quickly added in "an open letter to majority America" posted on his Facebook page, he's not talking about himself. "Such a leader should be able to campaign 24/7 for the next six months," he said. "Therefore, he/she likely can't be an engaged parent with little kids."
