Woman pleads guilty to embezzling millions from Granite Falls contractor
SAINT PAUL - Kirsten Tjosaas, 38, of Granite Falls, pleaded guilty to federal charges of wire fraud and money laundering while embezzling more than $5.7 million from her former employer, Fagen Inc.
Tjosaas entered guilty pleas to the two counts during her initial court appearance in U. S. District Court in Saint Paul on Friday, according to information from the U.S. Justice Office.
The U.S. Attorney’s office alleged that Tjosaas stole the money during an eight year period, from 2006 and November 2015, while she served as corporate controller and chief financial officer for the Granite Falls-based company.
