Monday night, May 9, Governor Gina Raimondo and Education Commissioner Ken Wagner will visit Warwick Veterans High School to talk about the state of education throughout Rhode Island. The “Community Conversation” will feature a question and answer session with Raimondo, Wagner, Mayor Scott Avedisian, Representative Joseph Shekarchi, and Senator William Walaska. Avedisian and John Howell, from Beacon Communications, will serve as moderators. The conversation will look into current proposals on strengthening neighborhood schools, to better prepare students to be productive citizens in the 21st Century economy. “We must all work together to make our state a place of opportunity for everyone,” Raimondo said in a statement. “I look forward to being in Warwick, and hearing from Rhode Islanders, and I am eager to share the work we are doing to move our state forward.” Read more: www.warwickonline.com/stories/education-topic-of-governors-forum-at-vets-on-may-9,112314
