Stillbirth of infant at Valley Street jail documented in lawsuit, medical board orderMANCHESTER — A pregnant Valley Street inmate claims she delivered her stillborn infant daughter on the jail’s lobby floor, 13 days after she arrived with a prescription in hand for treatment of a vaginal infection. The prescription never was verified, according to the suit that names Hillsborough County, Masewic and four nurses as defendants. According to Kezer, her infection went untreated. An autopsy determined the baby died of an infection transmitted via the umbilical cord from her infected mother, according to the suit filed in U.S. District Court in Concord.
