Donald Trump is not popular among Hispanic voters, with about 77% of U.S. Hispanics finding Trump unfavorable.
In an effort to reach out to Hispanic voters, a critical and growing voting block in the U.S., Trump published a photo of himself eating a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo.
"I love Hispanics!" tweeted Trump on the holiday of Mexico, the country whose migrants Trump last year characterized as "bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
The photo depicts Trump dining at the presumably authentic Mexican restaurant known as Trump Tower Grill. He smiles over a "taco bowl," otherwise known as a taco salad, a dish that originated in the United States.
