Denver prosecutors dropped the charges against a 94-year-old who had been accused of sexual assault. Lynn Kimbrough, a spokeswoman for the Denver district attorney's office, confirmed their office dropped the charges against Robert Lehnert on March 17. "As the case progressed, it became clear that we simply wouldn't be able to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt," Kimbrough said. "We didn't have the evidence." The charges were dropped just before the preliminary hearing when prosecutors would have had to show they had enough evidence to continue on to a trial.
