Mother of fatal shooting victim asks Oklahoma lawmakers to reject gun billKari Wahnee, whose 19-year-old son was shot and killed in Oklahoma City in 2009, visited legislators Wednesday and asked them to reject measures that would ease gun regulations in the state. Bradley Wahnee, a student at Oklahoma City University, was a bystander who was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting on Sept. 22, 2009, near NW 30 and May Avenue in Oklahoma City, where he had gone to pick up a friend. Nobody was ever convicted. "We want to protect the well-being of the citizens of Oklahoma," his mother said Wednesday. "We don't want other families to have to endure the heartache of what we've been through. We don't want other families to have to endure the injustice of a murder that goes unsolved and to have to live with that for the rest of their lives."
