BURLINGTON, Vt. - The candidates mounting a campaign to become the next governor took to a Chittenden County stage Friday.
Friday's debate lacked the venom of the national presidential race, with only a few veiled barbs thrown by the three Democrats and two Republicans.
Republican Phil Scott re-iterated his lack of support for Donald Trump, while his primary competition, Bruce Lisman, remains uncommitted, saying he's wary of turning off the billionaire's fans.
"On the other hand, he has said some really offensive things in the most amazingly offensive ways," said Lisman.
