Abortion rights groups target Schaefer over Planned Parenthood documentsAbortion rights supporters, seizing on a report that Sen. Kurt Schaefer has not looked at the documents he spent months trying to pry out of Planned Parenthood, on Thursday accused him of engaging in a political charade to win votes in the upcoming Republican primary for attorney general. Eric Schmitt, R-Glendale, and Todd Scott, Senate Republican Caucus attorney, were appointed to examine the documents provided after negotiations over subpoenas and a citation for contempt aimed at Mary Kogut, president of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri.
