WICHITA FALLS — Child Protective Services has taken custody of an infant that Wichita Falls police say was reportedly traded for drugs. Officer Brandie Young, police spokesperson, said officers were called about 3:45 p.m. Thursday for a possible case of child abandonment. A caller said the baby's mother had left the child with her overnight earlier this week and picked her up the next day, Young said. The caller told officers she received information about 3 a.m. Thursday that the baby was left at a crack house and had been traded for drugs, Young said.
