FARGO—North Dakotan Democratic voters will join five other states June 7 to decide who they want to see on November's presidential ballot.
Following long lines in Moorhead during Minnesota's caucus, state and local Democratic Party leaders are preparing for a large turnout at North Dakota's Democratic caucus, which will pit Vermont senator Bernie Sanders against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The state party's executive director, Robert Haider, said he isn't able to predict exactly how many people are expected to turn out.
"It's impossible to say how many people will be attending, but we're certainly planning for the higher end," he said.
Haider said because the last caucus in 2012 was uncontested, the party can't use its results to predict Tuesday's turnout.
