University of Phoenix winds down courses in Oklahoma City, TulsaThe large "University of Phoenix" lettering on the office building near NW 63 and the Broadway Extension is conspicuously absent. The campus is closed. The for-profit university — which occupied the entire 15,197-square-foot third floor — moved out in March as part of its transition to online services only in Oklahoma, announced in 2012. "As in other teach-out locations, we're providing accommodations to our Oklahoma students in Oklahoma City and Tulsa until they finish their programs," spokesman Ryan Rauzon said Friday. Those students are expected to graduate in 2017, Rauzon said. The Tulsa learning center at 14002 E 21st likely will close in spring or summer 2017, he said.
