A Bartlesville restaurant has filed suit against three Bartlesville women for allegedly making false claims against the against the business via social media and to other media outlets. According to Washington County court records, Eggbert’s filed a lawsuit on June 3 against three Washington County residents, Donna Childress, Renee Powell and Amanda Wilson, for allegedly contending via a letter that Wilson was asked to leave when she attempted to breastfeed her baby. The suit seeks an amount greater than $10,000 and punitive damages claiming that false, libelous statements were made. According to the petition in the case, Eggberts officials said that they received a letter from Wilson alleging that on March 6, 2016, she and her family patronized the Bartlesville Eggbert’s for Sunday brunch and that she was asked to “stop feeding, cover up or leave,” leaving her “in tears with a disturbed husband, confused 9, and 7-year-old and an upset crying” baby — a claim that Wilson later denied.
