Republican U.S. Rep. Joe Heck and Democratic former Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto will face off in the November election for a chance at claiming retiring Democratic U.S. Sen. Harry Reid’s seat. Most predicted the outcome would be Heck vs. Cortez Masto, but conservative activist Sharron Angle filing at the last minute threw a possible wrench in that plan. Cortez Masto did not face any real challenge while Heck soundly defeated Angle.
