Indictment: Former Comal Assistant Superintendent stole district moneyA Hutto school district employee has been indicted for theft, money laundering and misapplication of fiduciary duty related to his previous job as an assistant superintendent at the Comal school district. Thomas Bloxham illegally took at least $20,000 but less than $100,000 belonging to the district between April 12, 2010 and Oct. 9, 2012 while he was there as the assistant superintendent of support services, according to an indictment released Wednesday by the Texas Attorney General’s office. During the same time period Bloxham also committed money laundering by participating in various offenses described in 16 different paragraphs in the indictment. They included bribery, commercial bribery, gift to a public servant by a person subject to his jurisdiction, offering a gift to a public servant, coercion of a public servant, improper influence and abuse of official capacity. All of the offenses included at least $20,000 but less than $100,000, the indictment said. Bloxham also misapplied his fiduciary duty, according to the indictment, by taking at least $20,000 but less than $100,000 from the district and making payments to Baird-Williams Construction.
